Why do I need a Hit counter?

Many people who have website never know for sure how much trafic they are receiving. As you optimise your site for different keywords, you need to be able to judge the flow of traffic to see how well your optimisation is working.

A hit counter will let you know how many people are coming on your site per hour or day, so you can tell how well your site is performing.

Why do I need Web Stats?

Particularly for commercial sites, its very important to know what sort of visitors you are getting. If you have an online bike shop selling push bikes, you want to be sure that the people on your site are wanting to buy push bikes! Webstats simply let you see hidden information on your users

how did they get to my site? E.g. which search engine?

which keywords did they use,etc? (Make sure your target audience finds your site and not people looking for something similar but different, e.g motor bikes in our example)
